About
REDRIVER2 is a complete reverse engineering of Driver 2 from the PlayStation binary and its leftover debugging symbols. The game runs as native code through a thin compatibility layer, which means real widescreen, high framerates and fixes to bugs that shipped on the disc.
The download contains no game data. You dump both of your Driver 2 discs and the setup wizard installs the game from those images.
- Native code, no emulation
- Widescreen and high framerate
- Original bugs fixed and unfinished features completed
- Basic modding with texture and model replacement
What you need
The port contains none of the game. These come from your own copy and stay on your machine.
Disc images of both Driver 2 CDs
ISO or BIN/CUE dumps of your own two discs. PAL English (SLES-02993, SLES-12993) and NTSC US (SLUS-01161, SLUS-01318) in their initial and Platinum/Greatest Hits revisions are fully supported.
