About
The RSDK modding team decompiled Retro Engine v4 in full, together with the menus from the 2013 remasters of Sonic 1 and Sonic 2. The result is a native PC version of the remasters that were originally made for phones and later folded into Sonic Origins, with a built-in mod loader and API, a script compiler, a settings.ini and a dev menu.
It adds things the official releases never had on PC: a custom menu and networking system so anyone can host and join Sonic 2's 2P VS mode, Egg Gauntlet Zone in Sonic 2's Time Attack when your copy includes it, and save-file redirection for mods.
No game content is included. Without the data files from an official release the decompilation will not run. The team's license requires every prebuilt binary to ship with the Origins Plus DLC content disabled by default.

To carry over an Android save from before the "forever" update, copy SGame.bin from Android/data/com.sega.sonic1 (or sonic2) into the decompilation's folder as SData.bin. Source of these fingerprints
